Ikan’ai began with our founder, Kate, a beauty therapist with more than 30 years of hands-on experience. Across countless treatments and conversations with glorious everyday souls, the same wish kept coming up: people wanted products that worked, felt good and didn’t demand more time or money than they had.

Growing up with a mum who was a herbalist, homeopath and kinesiologist gave Kate a lifelong appreciation for botanicals and simple daily rituals. Later, a diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis changed the treatments she could use, deepening her interest in active ingredients that nurture skin without overwhelming it.

As a single mum running her own business, Kate understood that caring for yourself had to fit around family, work and a budget. So she set out to make it simpler: honest, thoughtful skincare that supports your skin and makeup that celebrates it. Ikan’ai brings that experience and understanding together, helping you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin.

Ikan’ai was created with one simple hope: to offer skincare and makeup that feel luxurious, ethical and accessible, and that slip easily into your life however busy, simple or unique your days might be. Born in Bowral, it’s a brand built on real experience, real people and a whole lot of heart.

He believed that real success comes from looking after people properly — with consistency, care and pride in what you do. That same philosophy lives on at Siva Beauty Body Soul. Every client who walks through our doors is treated with genuine attention, respect and warmth, because building trust and long-term relationships matters more to us than quick transactions.

The name blends the two most important people in Kate’s life — her sons, Ikani and Tuai. In true mum fashion, Kate pinched a little from each and blended them to name her other great love: beauty. Their Tongan family and heritage are honoured at the heart of the brand. There may have been an eye roll or two when she told them, but we reckon they secretly love it.

That connection carries through to makeup shades inspired by the Australian bush, the coastline and the islands of Tonga, from gum leaves and golden sand to frangipanis and island sunsets. A little Aussie spirit, a little island soul and plenty of room to be yourself.
